What We Do

One of the most unique aspects of our program is that we aim to not only encourage interest in academics and future careers, but also provide young women aged 12-17 opportunities to gain experience in fields that pique their interest. For example, if a girl states that she's interested in business, we are partnered with Women in Business, and facilitate volunteer, internship or job shadow opportunities within the organization. We aim to partner with organizations occupying various fields so that we can pair the young women in our program with opportunities that are best suited to their passions and interests.

The Pearl Project is based in principles of equity and inclusivity, and we welcome and whole heartedly support youth from diverse ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds, as well as LGBTQ+ youth. At the Pearl Project we believe that difference is something to be celebrated and recognize that everyone who walks through our doors brings an unique and important set of experiences and perspectives to our Pearl Project family.

How We Stay Connected

We strive to provide the most valuable experience possible for the organizations we partner with and our students by staying in touch through email update and a weekly survey on the progress of the interns/volunteers we supply. We also have the students update our website weekly with blogs on their experiences and what they have learned from working for you. This will ensure open communication and continued learning between all parties.
